It’s Boat Show Time again and this year the boat show is turning 40!!
Come along on Sunday 5th August, The Sydney Weekender Team will be there!

Boats may well be the star attractions when the doors open at Darling Harbour for the 2007 Sydney International Boat Show (August 2-7), but there’s far more to see and do apart from inspecting the latest and greatest boats.
The six spacious halls of the Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre and the floating marina on the waters of adjoining Cockle Bay will be packed to the limit with every style of craft imaginable, together with an astonishing array of engines, marine electronics, fishing tackle, scuba and water ski equipment, nautical clothing and general boating accessories.
The diversity of marine products from sailing, fishing, power cruising and light commercial vessels will allow you to admire craft from $400 to $8 million. Entertainment will run all day, every day.

Other activities you will see at the show include the Yamaha Fishing Clinic, Better Boating presentations, fashion shows and much more. And if you’ve ever wondered how boat builders do it then for a quick lesson, visit the Boat Building Competition in the Harbourside Amphitheatre on Saturday 4th August at 10am. The building teams have two hours to create their masterpieces, which they then sail around Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour- a feat not easily achieved. Come and see the fun and mayhem as the teams show off their boat building (and sinking!) styles. The team rivalry and carrying-on from the many participating shipwrights always draws a large crowd and provides great entertainment for on-lookers.
