Dining out on the North Shore is as varied as the region itself. The North Shore encompasses many suburbs and consequently, there are many restaurants that offer exciting and diverse eating experiences.
This particular region of Sydney – north of the bridge, definitely has its rewards if you know where to look. Military Road, the main artery along the lower North Shore has always been popular with many successful restaurants from Neutral Bay to Mosman. Along this eat street, there are literally hundreds of great restaurants to choose from.
Here are two very different, but equally popular North Shore restaurants that will make you feel at home, no matter where in Sydney you hail from!

Serving up modern Asian cuisine, Jade and her team have all the popular and best Asian dishes. This restaurant is informal and friendly and does a great trade with local diners.
Diners can partake of the great value banquet with a choice of four entrees and four mains for $24.90 per person. This applies to a minimum of four diners sharing dishes (including one entrée and one main of seafood).
As the name suggests, there’s lots of chilli and lime on the menu from spicy entrees to limey mains and limier desserts. And if you’re wondering…this is the second Chilli Lime Café, number one is around the corner and appeared on SWE around 10 years ago. Chilli Lime Too is no longer associated with Chilli Lime Café and the owners are now Jade and chef Stephen.
The food here is very reasonably priced and done extremely well.
Chilli Lime Too opened in 1999 and the philosophy is to take the very best ingredients, techniques and cooking styles from all over Asia and bring them together to create uniquely chilli lime too dishes.
