Accommodation
Treat yourself in one of the ten luxurious private cedar cottages with lovely living areas and all with open fire. There is a spa bath in every bathroom guaranteed to soothe and pamper you.
The balconies of the cottages offer privacy, facing into the forest on the other side of the creek. You can wake in the morning to the sound of bellbirds and kookaburras and if you rise early you are sure to see a wallaby or two grazing by the trout-filled dam.
4WD Tours
Tours are held Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons. It includes an informative tour of the wilderness area with a local guide and includes billy tea and damper.
Birdwatching
Hookes Creek Forest Retreat is set on 2000 acres nestled at the foothills of the World Heritage Listed Barrington Tops, it is one of the most spectacular and ideal places for bird watching in New South Wales.
There are over 95 species of birds found in the area, most of which can be found at the Retreat. They have over 30 kms of bushwalking trails to take advantage of the different diversities at the Retreat itself. From rainforest, to timbered country Hookes Creek has it all. A wide range of free walking maps are provided to guests with information on the local area.

Horse Riding
The well trained stock horses at Hooke Creek love taking guests through the magical Barrington Tops landscape. There are two thousand acres and well over 30 kilometres of trails to explore.
Hookes Creek has a team of well schooled horses. Trail rides are taken out twice daily by the experienced Wrangler. There is a morning ride, 2 hours long and an afternoon ride of 1 hour. Rides are taken on Hookes Creek, through the steep country for the experienced rider to the flat areas for the beginners.
Pony rides are provided for children under 10 years of age.
Bushwalking
Take a bushwalk ... follow a trail or pioneer one for yourself. Let your hosts pack a picnic lunch and spend a whole day exploring. Keen fishermen may like to try their luck in the crystal clear Dilgry River.

Culinary indulgence is at the heart of the Hookes Creek Forest Retreat experience with highlights including hearty cooked breakfasts, gourmet lunches and imaginatively prepared dinners.
