Anthony joined Sydney Weekender in 2008, after almost a decade of sport reporting and presenting, most recently with SBS.
Born and bred in “The Shire” in Sydney’s south, Anthony isn’t happy unless he’s playing some sort of sport – especially if the activity is somewhere in the great outdoors.
Whether it’s jumping out of a plane at 14 thousand feet, parasailing behind a speedboat, competing in triathlons or swimming with sharks, Anthony is more than likely to be right in the middle of the action. Anthony is the man for all seasons – whether it’s in the surf or on the ski slopes.
Anthony is an active member of the North Cronulla Surf Lifesaving club and the Cronulla Seagulls football club; he’s a qualified scuba diver and has various instructing certificates ranging from kayaking to abseiling. He has also represented New South Wales in two sports.
Professionally, he got his start in radio, driving the Triple M Rock Patrols in Sydney before making the move to television - including a stint as Sports Producer on Sunrise. He has covered some of the biggest stories in sport, naming the 2006 Socceroos World Cup campaign as the highlight.
Anthony will be exploring the great state of NSW, finding the best way to bring your heart-rate up on the weekends.
